Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program

Ta Mara’s Promise is an approved Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program provider! Our clinicians provide ASAP assessments, treatment recommendations, treatment groups, and individual therapy services to individuals who engage with VASAP. We are here to support you through the substance abuse treatment process and provide services to help you accomplish ASAP requirements.

Our evaluations are $125, and we require payment before the appointment time. Before the appointment, we also require any referral documentation regarding charges, including VASAP documentation.

Further Information: If enrolled, the 12-week substance abuse treatment group is $50 per group. You will also be required to complete two 45-minute individual sessions for $50.

Substance Abuse Professional

Employees working in safety-sensitive functions for the transportation industry are subject to federal drug and alcohol use and testing regulations, under the federal Department of Transportation (DOT) rules Part 40. Any employee who violates these regulations may not be returned to any safety-sensitive functions in the transportation industry until the individual successfully completes the SAP and return-to-duty process.

The licensed clinician responsible for overseeing this process is a Substance Abuse Professional, or an SAP. Our clinician has met the necessary standards and requirements established by DOT. The SAP links the organization's DER, the employee, and the professional providing the recommended course of education and/or treatment. Our initial and final assessments are each $400.
